Why Am I Doing This?
In March and April I will be crossing the country by bicycle with 30 women from San Diego to St. Augustine. I hope to raise $25,000 for the Brattleboro Music Center and the National Breast Cancer Coalition.
I’ll be taking a leave of absence from my job as the kindergarten teacher at the Marlboro School in Marlboro, Vermont. I’ll also be leaving my family behind in Brattleboro. My husband, Tom will be holding down the home front, my son Peter and his wife, Jackie will be nearby supplying Tom with fresh coffee, my daughter Emily will be moving to Boston soon for adventures of her own. My mom, my financial benefactor and champion, will be hoping to hear news from anyone who owns a computer.
